What is Monkey Mart?

Monkey Mart is an idle supermarket management game from developer TinyDobbins. You play a monkey store manager who harvests crops such as bananas and corn, carries them to shelves, and serves customers at the register. Cash from sales pays for new stations, aisles, appliances, and staff. Once one store is fully built, a new mart opens, with around six locations to work through.

Sessions are short and the loop is simple, which makes it a good pick for a quick break. You can play it instantly at gipcus.com/game/monkey-mart/.

How to play Monkey Mart online (controls)

  1. Open the Monkey Mart page on Gipcus and press play.
  2. Move with WASD or the arrow keys. You can also click and hold (or tap and drag on mobile) to steer.
  3. Walk next to a crop, shelf, appliance, or register to interact. Actions happen automatically while you stand close—no extra button needed.
  4. Pick up harvested items, drop them on matching shelves, then stand at the register to collect cash from waiting customers.
  5. Step onto the marked purchase spots on the floor to spend money on new stations and upgrades.

Your first five minutes in Monkey Mart

  1. Walk to the first crop patch and stand there until your monkey picks up a stack.
  2. Carry it to the matching shelf so customers have something to buy.
  3. Go to the register and stand there to take payment from the queue.
  4. Spend the cash on the next marked floor spot to open another station.
  5. Repeat the harvest, stock, serve loop, and hire a Cashier as soon as one is offered.

Early priorities that speed up your store

  • Keep the first shelves full. Customers only buy what is stocked. Empty shelves mean idle shoppers and no income.
  • Hire a Cashier as soon as you can. Standing at the register yourself is the biggest early bottleneck. A Cashier frees you to harvest and restock.
  • Upgrade in this order: Speed, then Stack, then Stamina. Faster movement means more trips per minute; a bigger stack lets you carry more per trip; Stamina helps your staff later.
  • Build processing chains. Appliances turn raw produce into higher-value goods. Processed items sell for more, so add them once your basic shelves stay stocked.

Workers tip: wake sleeping helpers

Hired monkeys handle cashiering, harvesting, and restocking, but they take naps. When a helper falls asleep, walk over and tap or stand near them to wake them up so the chain keeps moving. Investing in Stamina upgrades reduces how often they doze off, which matters more as your store grows.

Progress tip: finish a mart to unlock the next

A new location opens after you buy every aisle and appliance in the current mart. If progress stalls, look for unpurchased floor spots you skipped. Each new mart adds new products and stations, so the routine stays fresh as you move through all of them.
