We work hard to get every story right. When we make a mistake, we correct it quickly and transparently. This policy explains how corrections work at Gipcus.
How to report an error
If you believe something we published is inaccurate, please tell us through our Contact page. Include:
- the link to the article,
- what you believe is wrong, and
- a source that shows the correct information, if you have one (for example official patch notes or an announcement).
We review every report, usually within one business day.
How we handle mistakes
- Corrections — when a factual error is found (for example a wrong date, version number, platform, price or name), we fix it in the article and add a note at the end: “Correction (date): This article previously stated … It has been corrected to …”
- Updates — when a story develops or new official information becomes available, we update the article, show the updated date and, where it matters, add an “Update (date):” note explaining what changed.
- Minor fixes — spelling, grammar and formatting fixes that do not change the meaning are made without a note.
- Clarifications — when an article was accurate but could be misunderstood, we add a “Clarification (date):” note.
Removing articles
We do not quietly delete articles to hide mistakes. In rare cases an article may be removed, for example for legal reasons or when it cannot be corrected. In that case we explain the removal where possible.
Responsibility
The author named on an article and our editorial team are responsible for corrections. Our wider standards are described in our Editorial Policy.
