GTA 6 Digital Buyers Get a Free GTA+ Month — Claim Before Nov 20

If you already bought Grand Theft Auto 6 digitally — or still plan to before November 20 — you are owed a free month of GTA+. As reported by GTA BOOM (Ray Ampoloquio, Oct. 11), PlayStation Support reminded digital buyers on October 9 to claim the perk before the window closes. Plenty of players buy the game, skip the fine print, and never redeem the month they paid for.

How to Claim Your Free GTA+ Month With a Digital GTA 6 Buy

Anyone who purchases GTA 6 digitally on the PlayStation Store — Standard or Ultimate Edition — before November 20 qualifies for one free month of GTA+, Rockstar’s subscription for Grand Theft Auto Online. New, lapsed, and existing subscribers can all claim it. Existing subscribers can stack the free month onto their current plan. Each account gets one claim, no matter how many copies you buy.

Claiming takes about a minute: open the GTA+ product page on the PlayStation Store and check out at $0. On PlayStation you have until March 31, 2027 to claim, and you can pick when to activate the month inside that window. Microsoft Store digital buyers get the same perk with a 180-day window from the purchase date. Physical and code-in-box editions do not get this GTA+ month — they get the Vintage Vice City Pack instead.

Digital pre-orders also unlock the Vintage Vice City Pack and a roughly seven-day preload starting around November 12. GTA 6 itself launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Cancel Before It Auto-Renews at ~$7.99

The catch is the same one every free trial uses. Once the complimentary month ends, GTA+ auto-renews at the regular price — about $7.99 a month — until you cancel in Subscriptions Management on your account. If you only want the free month, set a reminder and cancel before the next billing date. GTA BOOM notes that canceling and reordering does not stack extra free months.

What you get during that month is still useful if you plan to grind GTA Online before launch: GTA$500,000 per month, free and discounted vehicles, Shark Card bonuses, and a rotating library of older Rockstar titles such as Red Dead Redemption, Bully, and L.A. Noire — perks described in GTA+ marketing and summarized by GTA BOOM.

Bottom line: if you bought GTA 6 digitally (or buy before November 20), claim the free GTA+ month you are owed, then cancel before it rolls into a paid sub. The qualification window closes about five weeks out; the game arrives November 19.
