It’s apparently no longer possible to stand with Brian in The Last Hope – Dead Zone Revival, an egregious copycat of The Last of Us for Nintendo Switch. The third-person shooter saw Brian Lee gunning down zombies and finding a girl named Eve. Unsurprisingly, she looked just like Ellie from the PlayStation blockbuster.
Eurogamer reports not only has the game been removed from the eShop, but also that Sony has submitted copyright claims on YouTube trailers for the game. The Nintendo UK listing for The Last Hope now redirects to a picture of Peppy Hare asking, “What’s wrong, Fox?”

The hilarious and brazen Last of Us rip-off never was available in North America. The Last Hope originally launched in the UK on June 30 for £9. One clear departure from Joel and Ellie’s adventure that the game took was incorporating time travel into the storyline. In fact, Brian was sent into the future to stop the zombie outbreak from ever happening.
The Last Hope came from a Republic of Moldova team called Virtual Global Games. The studio is behind other games on the eShop like Need for Drive – Car Racing and Air Jet Fighter Combat – Europe Fly Plane Attack.
