Carbine Studios, developer of massive multiplayer online game WildStar, published a post on official website confirming the news of game’s shut down. WildStar which launched way back in 2015 will see it’s final day on November 28, 2018.
Since the game will shut down in three months, developer has decided to make the most out of it and present the community with various in-game features to thank them for their time and love.
To start off, all real money purchases has been disabled on the Website, Steam page and in-game. Any purchase made after July 1 will be refunded coming October through the actual payment method. All in-game store items are now purchasable with in-game currency Omnibits. Availability of all seasonal items, costumes and mounts. Increased gear drop rate and many more.
Furthermore, for the next 3 months game will have continuous events which include:
- September 26–November 28
- Double XP, Glory Days, Power Prestige and PvP, and Blessing of Essence will be on from now until shutdown.
- October 12–19
- Residential Renovation, with the Battle Chase reward set available during this occurrence.
- October 19–November 2
- Jack Shade is back to fright and delight in Shade’s Eve.
- November 9–23
- Protostar’s Gala Winterfest Extravaganza is back for one, last, shopping frenzy.
- November 24–27
- Take to the skies (or at least a foot off the ground) in the zPrix Invitational!
- November 28
- Join us in-game for the final few hours as we have some fun. More details to come!
