The Baldur’s Gate 3 Halsin romance made the rounds all over the internet before launch. This was due to a release trailer that teased the possibility of more than just cuddling with a bear (being bear-naked, if you will). As such, many have been wondering if such a scene is actually in the game. Well, it certainly is, and we’ve got you covered in our guide.
How to Romance Halsin in Baldur’s Gate 3
The Baldur’s Gate 3 Halsin romance occurs during Act 3. Getting to that point, however, is quite time-consuming, and there are specific decisions that you need to make.
Halsin as a Party Member and Approval Gains
Here’s a quick summary:
During Act 1, you should rescue Halsin in the Goblin Camp/Shattered Sanctum. You need to save the Tiefling refugees as well, instead of betraying them to Minthara’s forces.
When you have a chance to speak with Halsin, always offer friendly, supportive, and positive responses. You should also welcome him to your camp, though he won’t join as a party member just yet.
In Act 2, it’s imperative that you keep Isobel the Cleric alive in Last Light Inn. There are certain decisions related to the Dark Urge and Nightsong, which will cause the inn to get destroyed, with all its inhabitants killed. This has the potential to prematurely end any attempt to recruit Halsin, let alone romance him.
In Last Light Inn, talk to the sleeping man, and then tell Halsin about it. This leads to a lengthy quest chain where you find a child named Thaniel, whom Halsin is seeking. Later, you can also find Halsin in the Temple of Melitele.
