The popular Castlevania titles, Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood, are coming exclusively to PlayStation 4, Konami announced today. Castlevania Requiem which includes both Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood will be available next month on Oct. 26.
It is a bit unclear why konami decided to release Castlevania Requiem exclusively for PlayStation 4 as both Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood are quite popular in the series and fans would have loved to play them on other platforms like Windows PC, Xbox One and maybe even on Nintendo Switch.
Rondo of Blood, tenth installment in the Castlevania series, came out in 1993 in Japan. In Rondo of Blood, you are placed in the shoes of protagonist Richter Belmont as he searches for his beloved Annette who was kidnapped and imprisoned in the castle by the Dracula.
Symphony of the Night, sequel to the Rondo of Blood, released in 1997 was a major turning point in the series. Symphony of the Night was the first to introduce the role-playing elements such as collecting weapons, armors and hidden orbs etc. The non-linear and exploration focused approach with RPG elements was later followed in the subsequent games.
